Annual Top 20 standings are listed on the CWA website for High Combined, Racing and Conformation for each calendar year (January 1- December 31).
Mid-year Top 10 standings are updated periodically throughout the current year, using the same methodology.
The top 20 placements are determined as follows:
Top High Combined Dogs - The top 20 dogs based on the total high combined wins earned during the year listed in descending order first by total high combined wins, and then by call name. Dogs with the same number of High Combined points will be tied (see ties below).
Top Race Dogs - The top 20 dogs based on the total NARX points earned during the year listed in descending order, by NARX points and then by call name. Dogs with the same number of NARX points will be tied (see ties below).
Top Conformation Dogs - The top 20 dogs based on the total conformation points earned during the year (5 for each 1st, 3 for each 2nd, 2 for each 3rd, 1 for each 4th) listed in descending order first by total conformation points and then by call name. Dogs with the same number of conformation points will be tied (see ties below).
Ties - All dogs with the same number of applicable points would have the same standing. So, if Dog A and Dog B both have the same number of points for placement 4 & 5, they are both listed as #4 and the #5 placement is skipped and the next dog in line would be #6. And if there's a tie for #20, all the #20 dogs are listed, even though that puts more than 20 dogs on the top 20 list.
Prior to 2023, meet and match wins were compiled and used to determine sort order, but not to break ties. In 2023, in order to streamline record keeping, meet and match wins are no longer compiled and ties are sorted by call name.
